Potty Triumph

Well, we had a step in the right direction! On 4/24 Logan went pee pee in the potty, twice! He used to go but lost interest and once Ethan came lost ALL interest.  I've been pushing and he didn't seem ready, well...he still isn't totally but has gone to sit on the potty a few times since. This was made possible by the bribery method.  For 2 days I had to set the idea in Logan's head that if he went pee pee on the potty, he could go to the store and buy Edward.  (Edward is a train he's been asking for.)  He gets another train when he poops...this I can see won't happen for a while, but I will keep on pushin!

I've been  exploring taking pictures with manual settings on my camera and using a free editing program.  These are my 2 boys feet together. I got this pose idea from pinterest and finally remembered to do it. I love how it turned out!

Here is Ethan, just because he is such a cutie! This is a picture from his 3 month birthday photo shoot by his practicing mama :)

In addition to my previous post of what Ethan is up to, in the last 2 weeks he has begun to laugh. Its so precious to see his sweet smile and little chuckles! He thinks it so funny when I put his feet to his face. He also began being curious as he is nursing...he likes to look around, especially if there is a noisy Logan lurking around. He only like to sit up or stand up. He tries to sit up in his car seat...hence why he is not a fan of it! I think we may get him his big car seat sooner than we did for Logan. He is never asleep in it for long, and when the car stops he wakes up, i think lugging it around is more of a hassle.

Wow...its really been over a year since I've blogged....

WOW! Its so funny to me that my last post was my New Years Resolutions for 2011...and now its April 2012! I guess I failed on keeping up on our blog!

Well, I guess I will just start fresh. I blogged every month of the new things Logan was up to as an infant, and into his early toddler stage....I feel so sad that I stopped, because looking back its so fun to see the new things he was doing each month he grew.

Logan, is now just a little over 2 1/2 (32 months):

-He is just so hilarious! He is such a talker and is always coming up with words and concepts I didn't even know he knew or could understand. He is not talking in full sentences. He has begun to really warm up to Ethan and wants to hold him, hug him, and kiss him, and talks and plays with him.  He likes to make jokes saying "baby walks? hahaha funny."
-He is not too interested in potty training yet, so we are still working on this.
-He is stubborn, and has been throwing these horrible tantrums - but this was to be expected with the arrival of his little brother and just plain ole' age
-He loves to go to church, mainly because the nursery has trains. He says Amen after prayers and at the end of books.
-He loves to count things, he loves books and puzzles. He also loves to draw and always says his drawing is something random, the other day it was a kangaroo.
-He is (and has been for a while) obsessed with trains and Cars

Ethan, our sweet little arrival of this year is almost 3 months!
(11 wks at the moment)

-He is the perfect baby! He is sleeping 6-8 hours at night and wakes to eat then sleeps for another 3.  He is only awake for 2 hours at a time then whines and wants to be put down for a nap.
-He has begun to grab at things, he smiles when he wakes up and when you talk to him. He loves to sit and stand to bear his weight. He isn't too happy when he is laying on his back unless he is playing in his baby play mat.
-He loves taking baths and showers
-He hardly cries, just during middle of the night diaper change and when ever he is in his car seat and it's not in motion.
-At his 2 month well baby visit, he weighed 13.8 lbs, was 23 inches long and was in the 90th percentile for weight, 85th for height and average for his head circumference. He is definitely our little chunker! Most of his 0-3 month size clothes have been packed away in case we have another boy.
