Its been a while...

So this is a picture of Logan right before his first hair cut. We wanted to get it trimmed before we left for our trip. It didn't turn out like we had planned, so that's the reason there is not an "after" picture to follow. I cried after, but i think I over-reacted. Hair grows back, and it wasn't THAT bad. Luckily he is such a cutie and his sweet little face makes up for a bad hair cut. After we cut it, we found out that you're supposed to cut babies hair when they are asleep.... i guess you live and learn!

We went to Utah for a wedding, and for the return of David's brother Landon! He got back off his mission on November 6th! It was exciting to see him and how he's changed in 2 years. Here he is meeting Logan for the first time. Logan loved meeting his Uncle Landon, and was nothing but smiles for him.

Here is the whole fam at the airport.

Date Night!

We went to Hobbs Grove with some couples from our ward. I must say, Halloween isn't as big anywhere than it is out here. Hobbs Grove is this place in the middle of nowhere in Sanger. They have a haunted house, haunted forest and haunted hayride. I'm usually not a screamer when it comes to haunted houses and such, but this place is SUPER SCARY! There are things that pop up out of every corner to scare you. They even got David pretty good a couple of times!

Here is a pic with both Seamens couples and the freaky rat guy

David and I were able to have our first date night on Oct. 15th since we had Logan. We went to the Rascal Flatts concert with Darius Rucker as the opening act. We had such a great time! Darius Rucker and the Rascal Flatts were both amazing. Rascal Flatts had an amazing show, and sang all their popular songs (which is just about everyone they sing it felt like). My mom and step dad came out to watch Logan for us, aren't they sweet?!

I know we're not supposed to video tape, but i wanted to get a little snip of them live.

2 months!

Logan is now 2 months old! (as of Monday) Time flies by so fast, he has already grown so much, and it seems like everyday he can do something new. So far this month he can....
-hold his head up by himself completely
-He laughs! Its so cute to see him laugh!
-now cries to let us know he needs a diaper change
-follows objects with his eyes, even from a good distance
-watches the TV!! (which i am not a fan of!)

I can't wait to see what he does next, we just love him so much and can't believe how fast he is growing.

I love my bumbo!!

I just love sitting up in my bumbo! Thanks Auntie Jenna & Uncle Vita!!

The St. George Marathon

We planned a last minute trip to Vegas and St. George to visit some friends and watch David's sister run the St. George marathon. We flew to Vegas and hitched a ride with my in laws who were driving through Vegas to go to St. George. It was a fun and fast trip, but totally worth it!
Logan on his first airplane ride, he was wonderful there and back! He pretty much slept the whole time.

Here we are in St. George hanging out to support Danielle after running her marathon. Logan enjoyed a nice nap in his baby carrier, boy is he getting heavy! Oh -- also, me with a new hair cut!

I must say Danielle looks amazing after running 26 miles! It was a lot of fun to go to St. George for the weekend, we got to spend time with some of David's side of the family, and I got to meet many for the first time. The weather was nice and cool, I wish we could have spent some more time out there.

Here is our wonderful friends the Coupes! We spent some time with them in Vegas, which is where they live. They were so sweet to let us stay with them. We had tons of fun hanging out with them and their adorable little girls. We went out to get Frozen Custard before they took us to the airport. (I must say frozen custard is AMAZING!!!!!) I wish we lived closer to them!

1 month already!!

I can't believe the Logan is already 1 month old!! Time has just flown by this first month! He is such a good baby, and has already changed since his birth. I already miss him being new from the hospital, he has already grown so much! At 1month he can hold up his head on his own, he smiles and coos, LOVES to eat, he loves to look at light and he loves to hang out in his swing. We are just so blessed to finally have him to hold and love. We just love being parents, although we are looking forward to the nights where Logan will begin to sleep through them :)

Logan's Blessing

We blessed Logan last weekend, and has lots of family over for the blessing. It was so much fun to have all of the family over! My sister even came out to finally see the house, and of course to meet my special little guy.

Logan in his blessing outfit

All the kids were just so excited to get to hold him

All the Price Grandkids

David had to work in the bay area for a couple days, we Logan and I went along so we could take Logan to meet all my family in the bay area. Here is a picture with my Dad, Grandma Rose and my sister. It was a lot of fun to go see everyone with Logan -- I'd have to say he did wonderful in the car for the trip there and around town.

Welcome Logan David!

Logan David Price was born on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at 8:20pm. He weighed 8 lbs and 13 oz, at 20 1/2 inches long. He was a tough little guy to bring into this world, but worth all of it!

I was induced, and in labor for 36 hours, tried pushing him out for 3 hours and had to end up getting a c section. As it turns out, he was in the wrong position and there was no way he was coming out on his own. We are both doing great, and he is just perfect!

Can you believe it?

I am due to deliver my first child in 8 days! 8 days!!! We are both so excited, and nervous. For me, it's amazing to see how our lives have ended up together. David and I met when we were just 14 years old. I have to say it is amazing that the father of my child is someone who has been a close friend for so long. I can't wait to see what a great Dad he is going to be!

Here were are at 14....crazy isn't it?!

Honey, may you rest in peace...

Wednesday was a very sad day for David and I, in the morning when David left to go to work he found our kitty. She hadn't come home the night before, and all night I kept checking for her on the porch after my many trips to the bathroom. I knew something wasn't right because she always came home when we called for her.

We laid her to rest that morning in our backyard. Some may think we are silly to be so sad over a pet, but to us she was more than just that. She was the first addition to our family, and a loyal friend who brought us so much joy and laughter. She kept me company all day long while David was at work. She was truly one of a kind, I have never known a pet with so much personality. We had so much love for our kitty, and will cherish all the memories of her.

Honey,
The entire neighborhood will miss your sweet personality and loving nature. Everyone who met you always mentioned you were the coolest cat they had ever come across. You left an imprint on everyones heart. I've never had so many people ask me how my cat was doing, just like you were a person.

We will miss how you slept in the craziest positions.

We will miss how you loved to eat herbal supplements, and would jump up out of a dead sleep and race over when you heard us getting ours (and try to eat them from our hands!).

We will miss how you would hang out and keep us company in whatever room we were in.

David will miss wrestling around with you, and how you would wait for him to come around corners and pounce at him.

I will miss you trying to wake me up by giving the tip of my nose a lick and then sitting on my chest purring (sometimes meowing) loudly at me.

We will miss taking you on road trips, and how you loved to ride in the car and look out the window, just like a little dog.

But, most of all we will miss feeling your loving, playful little spirit in our home. You had more personality than some people, and we are grateful we had the chance to share of our love and home with you.

I am not sure where animal spirits go, but I would like to believe she is up in heaven somewhere having the time of her life...

Holy Cow!

At least that's what I'm feeling like these days! I am in my 9th month, weighing in at 140 lbs, with just 3 weeks to go until my due date. I am terrified of what is to come, but women have been doing this for centuries! (that's what I keep reminding myself) We are both excited to be parents, and kinna nervous too! We will be responsible for raising another person, which is a crazy concept to imagine, but nonetheless we can't wait.

We have almost everything ready and set up for our little baby. This weekend we put together the swing and bouncer, and went to buy all the little needed things like a thermometer, etc. This week I'm planning to get my labor & delivery bag packed so I'll be ready to go just in case. As far as the nursery, we just need to re-arrange the furniture how we want it and hang up a few things on the walls, I'll post a picture of it all set up once we're done.

I have also began to prepare our kitty for all the baby contraptions so she can be used to them by the time we bring the baby home. She is a very curious little thing, so I'd rather her check them out now before the baby is inside them. So far she has done great, she hasn't tried to jump into the crib or anything for that matter, so I think we'll be good to go. The swing kinna freaked her out, she circled it for a while and then she just sat there staring at it until I turned it off.

4th of July fun!

David's Family came out for the weekend to spend the 4th with us. We had lot of fun, we took the Moala girls to Wild Water Adventure Park on Friday. It felt so nice to float around in the water with my preggy belly and watch the girls enjoy the kiddie slides.

On Saturday morning our ward had their annual 4th of July Pancake Breakfast. They had a little flag ceremony, parade and snow cones for the kids. It was such a beautiful morning to have breakfast in the park.

We had some amazing BBQ and Homemade Ice Cream for dessert, and of course, the 4th of July is not complete with out a fireworks show! We didn't end up going to watch the big show nearby, but we enjoyed watching the ones we had in the front yard.
We found Calvin Tuesday morning in the bathroom, with the trash can emptied into the toilet. I hope David and I are ready for this kind of stuff! :)

Getting close!

Here I am in my 8th month of being pregnant. I have to say I am excited to be closer to holding my little bundle of joy, and I am also getting tired of being pregnant. I am now weighing in around 134 lbs now, and my body is definitely feeling the extra load. I more month to go after this one!!

Baby Shower

This past weekend we came up to home to the bay area for my baby shower for our family and friends out this way. It was so nice to see everyone and get to catch up a little. We received so many wonderful gifts for our soon to come son. I just love everything we received, it is so much fun seeing all the tiny little clothes!!

Me, my Mom, Karrie and my Grandma Lena

Thanks to everyone who was able to make it and for all the wonderful gifts! I am so excited to get home so I can set his room up and put all his clothes away!

Week in the Bay

We spent the entire week here in they bay area while my in-laws were in Texas for the week. I had so much fun spending some time with my family while David was a work, and while Lexi was in summer school.

My cousin Dionne was visiting from San Diego, I hadn't seen her for about 8 years!

I went out to lunch and to eat Pink Berry with my cousins Elizabeth and Jill. I always enjoy when I get to hang out with them since it doesnt happen too often.

On Saturday we went to a car show & fundraiser for Sandra Cantu in Tracy. After we went shopping at the Tracy Outlets and found the Carter's Outlet store (we had a blast in there!!) We found some awesome deals on some REALLY cute baby clothes!

It was a fun week spending time with family and friends, but I am looking forward to going home. I am SO excited to set up all the baby stuff!

7 months...

Summer is here now and I have graduated to the stage where I can now use my tummy as a table to put just about anything on. It's great especially when I'm sitting on the couch snacking!

Here I am tanning in my maternity swim suit. I am feeling great, weighing in at 126 lbs. I know I have the 2 worst months ahead of me as far as comfort, but I am getting excited to hold my little baby. He moves around all the time, kicking & nudging me as much as he can. 55 days to go!!

My Handyman

I just love how my husband is so handy!

Last weekend we finally finished cleaning out the baby's room! It feels so exciting to get things rollin for our little baby's arrival. Even though he won't be sleeping in his crib for a couple months, my WONDERFUL husband put together the crib. He also finished sanding & painting my old bedroom furniture to match the crib for the nursery. I am SOOO thankful that he is so handy and can fix/put together just about anything.

Here is the finished product! (Minus the mattress that we don't have yet). I can't wait for my shower so I can put all his little clothes away and begin to decorate the nursery!

What's in a name?

David and I are so indecisive when it comes to making big decisions. We have been putting off choosing names for our baby since it is such a big deal. We both finally looked through some books and made a list of names we liked, and traded and crossed off the ones we didn't like of each others choices.

We still aren't going to choose his name until we see him at his birth, hoping we will get some more inspiration. We haven't even gotten into a middle name yet... but let us know what you think for a first name, vote on the poll to the right!

Peek-A-Baby!

We had our 3D/4D Ultrasound today in Modesto at Peek A Baby. We scheduled this appointment months ago and were SOOO excited to see our little baby! We got our confirmation that he is indeed a he. It was so amazing to see his little face, feet and hands! It is such a miracle that this little guy is growing inside of me. He was pretty cooperative but he wouldn't move his hands away from his face. We got a CD with lots of pictures and a DVD of the entire session.

Any thoughts on who he looks like?

Labor of Love

I just have to say that mom's and step dad's are just so wonderful to have! They came out this weekend to visit, and to help us out with some yard work. My back has been killing me, and David breaks out with itchy patches when he's out in the yard during the spring season, so they came and cleared out all our weeds. Our yard looks FABULOUS!

BEFORE....
(I'm embarrassed to even post this picture since we let it get this bad!)

Here is my mom lookin' cute doin' yard work.

AFTER!!

Here is our backyard, lookin' brand spankin new like it did when we first moved in. Thanks for all your hard work Mom and Mike!

Gettin' bigger by the minute!

Here I am, 24 weeks pregnant (so just about 6 months along, according to "What to Expect When You're Expecting"). For me, all is well and it seems like I'm getting bigger everyday. I finally had to give in and buy some maternity clothes, my shirts and most jeans just weren't working for me to squeeze into anymore. From what I've read, this is my last month feeling energized before I enter my third trimester, so I am trying to get as much done as I can. As for the baby, he moves around A LOT, and oh man, is this little guy getting stronger everyday! You can now see my belly move when he's kicking or punching. He really moves when I eat something spicy....not sure if that means he likes it or not, but Mommy sure does enjoy! :)

We are beginning to get things ready for the nursery, we bought the crib, have started to clear out boxes (we still haven't unpacked everything since the move....) and David sanded and re-painted my old dresser to match the crib. Still to go, we have to sand and re-paint this cabinet thing that is a perfect height to use for a changing table, plus it has some handy storage for baby stuff. I think we're in good shape considering we have 3 months still to go!

Our first curve ball

Well, on Friday I was officially laid off, 5 1/2 months pregnant. We were worried all weekend mostly about the medical benefit factor, since I was still under my employers plan. Not knowing if my pregnancy would be a pre-existing condition, keeping me ineligible to be added to David's insurance was extremely nerve racking for the both of us. Having a child with paying the high costs of COBRA caused a couple restless nights over the weekend. But yesterday we found out from David's HR Dept. that pregnancy is not considered as such and there should be no problem adding me to his policy.

Financially, David and I will be alright on his income, plus I will be able to collect unemployment for a while, we just have to budget a little better (but who doesn't right?!). On the more optimistic side of things, I can now rest and get everything ready for the arrival of our little son with plenty of time. Life just threw us our first unexpected curve ball since we've been married... but so far it looks as though we will be able to survive this new trial in our lives. We are thankful and blessed to know that the lord is watching over us.

Our One Year Anniversary

For our 1 year anniversary David and I were sealed in the San Diego Temple! I couldn't believe how beautiful this temple is, inside and out. It was great to have our family and friends share this special day with us.
David's grandparents came out from Utah to be there for our special day. It's always such a treat to see them and get to spend some time with them.

We stopped by pink berry for some yummy frozen yogurt and fresh fruit. Ever since we tasted this in Southern California in October I had been craving this, so David took me for a special treat on our anniversary and we enjoyed it!

The Price name lives on...

To our surprise we found that we are having a baby boy!
It was difficult for me to go back to work after my appointment as I was so excited and wanted to go look at baby stuff, brainstorm on how I want to decorate my little ones room, and when I should have my shower. For our family outing this evening we went to babies r us to check out some of the things we will need for our little baby. We are definitely in for some exciting times to come!

I've been kicked!

Here I am, almost 5 months pregnant! My baby belly is bigger, and I am starting to look pregnant instead of just chunky. Our little baby has been moving around and kicking like crazy! It's so awesome to feel it moving around, and for David to get to feel it from the outside. With all that action going on in there we are thinking we might be growing a crazy active hyper baby...but if it is, it will fit in well with it's many cousins! :)

Other than that, I am eating like crazy and continuing to put on weight. My back hurts all the time, and I am usually in bed knocked out before 9pm. But all in all, I am enjoying being pregnant. We have our ultrasound appointment tomorrow and get to find out the sex of the baby! We are so excited!

Next weekend we are taking a trip down to San Diego for our 1 year anniversary, sealing and my birthday! What a trip this will be! We have lots of family and some friends coming to share our special sealing day with us. My mother & step father are coming down, and we're going to enjoy spending Friday together for her birthday while the rest of the family enjoys Sea World.
We chose to be sealed on March 14th, the exact day of our 1 year anniversary. It's so crazy to think that we have been married a whole year! It has gone by so fast, but has been the best year of our lives. When people say the first year is the hardest, it definitely was not true for us.
