Halloween Fun

I haven't been keeping up on Logan's monthly milestones after he turned 1, but i know i should because one day he will enjoy knowing all the silly things he used to do.  At 14 months he has:

5 teeth!

Favorite word: No!

Other new words: Bye, Hello, Uh-oh!, Football, What is that

He is mimicking words all the time, but they aren't clear yet

Has discovered his (and our) belly buttons

Can open & close doors

Knocks on doors

He loves "nummy drinks" which are smoothies from our vitamix and points to the vitamix to let me know when he wants one.

Wears size 18 month clothes and size 5/6 shoes

Weighs 22.5 pounds

HALLOWEEN! Logan's 2nd Halloween and first pumpkin patch trip!

We went to Cobb Ranch and had a ton of fun! We didn't get many good pictures because Logan would not stay still long enough.

Catch Up Time!

At the end of August we went to San Diego to go to one of David's cousins wedding.  It was a ton of fun, and the whole Price Family came and went spent a long weekend together.  It is always fun to have all the cousins together, Logan loves to play with them and try to keep up.

It was so nice to go to the temple where David and I were sealed in, and the wedding took place in the same sealing room we had!  Logan enjoyed playing on the temple grounds, and got to see his Great Grandad and Grandma Price.

We spent a long beautiful day in the hot San Diego sun at Mission Beach.  We had a nice BBQ with the whole Price Fam and played on the beach.

The beach cruisers were the highlight of our day at the beach.  Uncle Doug had a ton if them and we rode around mission beach and imagined what it would be like to own a beach home along the path. 

I know this is totally late...but better late than never right?!

My baby is 1 years old! I cannot believe it!

(August 12th)

*He says ball, when ever he sees one or anything round
*He signs doggie, kitty, fish
*If you say any of these animals, he makes their sound; doggie, chicken, and cow
*He has a tooth coming in! On his first birthday it began to break through
*He loves to wear shoes, he brings them to us so we can put them on.
*He is now sitting in a forward facing car seat
*When you ask him how old he is, he sticks up "1" finger!

11 months!

 

He is walking, FULL ON and is everywhere!

He points to anything that catches his attention

He brings us books to read to him

He likes to put objects in things (garbage, bowls, anything that will fit whatever he has)

He loves the water

He is a bottomless pit

He loves to drink from our cups rather than his

He mimics things, he was brushing my hair the other day all on his own

He repeats back sounds and the word "no"

10 months!!!!

 

I cant believe my baby is now 10 months!! He is getting so big and strong, and is just so much fun.  Here are the new things he is up to these days.

-On May 25th Logan took his first step!! His record is up to 24 steps, I'm sure he will be running in no time!
-He loves to dance, when ever he hears music he starts to rock out
-He opens a drawer and will pull EVERYTHING out of it
-He likes to close doors behind him and sit by it so we cant come in
-IF we say "Awwwwwwww" he will lean and give us a hug, and repeat the sound
-He says "ohhhhhhhh" all the time
-If we call to him if he is in another room he says "Whaa!"
-He doesn't like to be nursed in the cradle hold anymore, he nurses as if he's drinking from a drinking fountain
-Every time he needs a diaper change its a fight to the death
-When I sing the "Little Fish" song he moves his hand like a fish
-He is a Kissy Monster! He kisses everything he can (the floor, table, couch, MOMMY and DADDY)
-He talks, its gibberish  but we know he is really telling us something
-He has discovered stairs and loves them :(
-He will take things out and put them back over and over
-He has now turned into a baby tornado. (We both fell asleep and awoke to a mess in every room he got into--i know, not the best parenting!) 

9 months!!!

Our son is now 9 months old! He is growing so fast it makes us sad, but happy and excited to see all the new things he does.  We just love him so much and can't wait to see what he will do next.

-He STANDS! BY HIMSELF for over a minute! I think we may be walking in a month or so

-He squats while standing
-He stands up from the crawling position using the floor

-He eats pretty much anything we give him, and gets mad when we're eating something we don't share
-He can drink from a straw and has mastered drinking from a sippy cup
-Crawls....everywhere! We had installed a baby gate to keep him to one side of the house.
-He can blow kisses!!!
-He cruises along the couch and table
-He talks to us and himself
-He LOVES meat and gives the biggest smile when we give him little pieces
-He loves to splash around in the bath
-He can roll a ball back and forth with you

Our First Dance

I just loved this picture that David took of us. We went to my cousins wedding this weekend and Logan and I had our first official dance! He was so cute and was smiling and laughing while we twirled around.

Disneyland!!

We took a weekend family vacation with David's siblings and went to Disneyland and the beach! We had so much fun watching Logan experience some new things for his first time. He LOVED Disneyland and all the rides. I think his favorite part was watching the fireworks show at night.

Here is Logan after his first full day at a theme park. Logan is usually a light sleeper, so let's just say that the trip out of the car seat, up the elevator, into the hotel room, a diaper and a change into his jammies.....we still had one knocked out little baby!


On Friday we all went to the beach, Logan had a lot of fun discovering the sand. He didn't enjoy dipping his feet in the ocean water, which we could tell from the instant scream and crying that followed (which we video taped) but since it was his first beach trip we had to do it!

This one is my absolute favorite beach picture we took, he enjoyed watching the ocean with his Daddy.

8 months old already!

Logan is growing so fast and has done so many amazing new things in this last month! He is now 8 months old, and weighs at least 23 lbs! He is out growing all his 6-12 month size clothes, so mommy gets to go do some shopping! :) He is such a joy to our life, and we can't imagine how our life was before he was here. He is such a happy boy, and everywhere we go everyone comments how happy and how cute he is! He is such a social baby, and LOVES being a part of whatever is going on around him. He can't seem to sit still anymore, he has to be moving around...i just know we are in for some trouble this next month! Each day he gets more and more mobile...and destructive! :)

He can sit up from a laying position

He can switch the direction he is sitting

He has crawled a few steps, but mostly rolls to get where he wants to go...and boy does he go fast!

He tries to stand up

He can kneel

He can pull himself up to a standing position, we have lowered his crib and have to keep everything off the coffee table

He mimics sounds we make

He eat cheerios and graham crackers....and loves them!

He can sign "all done" and "more"

He has entered into the separation anxiety phase....this one i hope he gets over FAST

He walks with me when i'm holding his hands

He loves to baby chatter to himself

He has out grown his infant car seat and has a new convertible one

He likes to open and close objects, books, wipe case, drawers

Has had his second haircut....by a professional this time! ;)

He grabs and gets into anything he can reach!

Happy Easter!

Logan loved his first visit from the Easter Bunny! He had a lot of fun going through his basket and giving each item a good taste! :)

Here he is eating one of those teething crackers, he loves them....but only gets them when there is time for a bath afterwards.

7 months!

Logan will be 7 months in just a few days, and he is just growing so fast! He is half way passed his first year, and he is doing so many new things all the time! For his well baby check up, he was 17 lbs and 15 oz which by now I'm sure he is at least almost 19! He is in the 75th percentile for height, and average for everything else.

-He learned the sign for milk, and in 3 days was already doing it! By a 2 weeks he had fully associated the sign with milk, and uses it regularly now. We have a baby genius, I know....
-He gives kisses upon request!
-He claps, and will do it when you ask
-He says "Mama" and "Dada"! Although, he says "Dada" when he is happy and only does "Mama" when he is whiny. Not sure what to make of that!
- He supports himself sitting up, fully with out any help
- He has definitely discovered his squealing voice
- He can support himself on with his arms fully extended when he is on his belly, and is now trying to prop his knees up
-He is scooting

We are having so much fun with him, and just love him to pieces!

My baby is half way through his first year of life!

My little man is 6 months old! He is just growing so fast, and is changing so much! I can't believe how big he is, he is now fitting into his 9-12 month size clothes...it seems like he grew overnight and I had to change out most of his smaller outfits. Here are some of the new things he can do:

*He rolls around, and is now starting to try to bend his knees up!

*He can now sit up on his own without support. When he is laying down, he lifts his head up to try to sit.

*He LOVES his veggies! He is going to grow big and strong.

*He gives kisses to Mommy and Daddy on his own, he even can do it on request!

*He waves

*He is a little drooling & chewing machine....i think teeth may be around the corner :(

*He can babble to himself

*He has learned to blow little spit bubbles and likes the noise he makes by smacking his mouth

Family Temple Trip

Today we took Logan to the Oakland temple for his first time. We walked him around a little in his stroller, and then went into the visitors center. We walked up to the statue of the Lord and he just stared and smiled. It was such a sweet moment! We went through and looked around, and since he loves to touch everything I let him tap on the touch screens and we watched the little movies that played. (He LOVES to watch TV, so he enjoyed this!)

We didn't take any pictures (which i am sad about), but it was such a special afternoon to feel the spirit and spend that special time together as a family.

The Roll!

Two Firsts in One Week!

So we decided to give Logan baby rice cereal for the first time on Sunday night! We figured he was ready, since he was showing all the signs the books say. He stares at us in amazement from start to finish while we eat. He did great! He had some funny looks on his face, but ate most of what we gave him with out spitting it out!

Today, Jan 14th, my little baby rolled over all by himself! I didn't catch him do it, but I looked down and he was on his belly!! I am so proud of him, it seems like in the past week he is growing and changing so fast! I think he does something new everyday!

I don't even know where to begin...

I haven't posted anything in so long, and I'm REALLY skimping on this post with a few highlights & pics of the last couple months....

Logan is now just about 5 months!! I cant believe how time has gone by so fast! I missed the last couple months update, but here are his current triumphs:

-He grabs EVERYTHING! He hasn't managed to spill any cups or plates yet, but i know its coming...
-He rolls on his side, he will be rolling over any day now.
-He notices everything, and will look in the direction of any noise
-He likes to talk to himself while rolling around
-He has mastered pulling off his socks, and loves to eat them
-He likes to grab his feet and stare at his hands in amazement
-He's pretty much stopped taking his pacifier (boo-hoo for us! That was a life saver sometimes!)
-He can sit up in a slouching position by himself.
-He can prop himself up on his belly

We just love him so much and he is such a joy & blessing to us!

CHRISTMAS!!

Logan's first Christmas! We spent the week out here in the bay since David's sisters were here. It was a crazy week but so much fun to get to spend some time with everyone. Sadly, we missed Christmas Eve with my side of the family because we all got the stomach flu and were puking our guts out. Luckily Logan didn't catch it, but most of David's fam caught it. Other than the sickness our first Christmas with Logan was lots of fun!

We went to spend some time with my mom the day after Christmas since we missed the whole family. This is the first time all the Kruse grandkids were together.

Meeting my new niece Karrah Lena for the first time. I cant believe how tiny she is!! She was born on Thanksgiving!

We had Thanksgiving at my house with the Price side. This is the first holiday celebrated at our house ever, and it turned out to be a lot of fun! This was also Landon's first Thanksgiving back, so it was even more special. We of course did some Black Friday shopping as well!

All the food was AMAZING!
