Halloween...in a nut shell

October
Logan got to do lots of fun Halloween things this year! He had his first school field trip to the Hillcrest Pumpkin Patch, it was so cute and so fun!  This was also his first year going trick or treating, and loved it, obviously. These boys are just so much fun and I love them to pieces.

We did have a huge hiccup in our Halloween fun, Ethan had a big scare. I was unloading this dishwasher and turned to see my little baby fall head first out of his highchair and hit the tile. After a couple seconds he screamed, I called 911 and the paramedics came within a couple of minutes. He already had a swelling bump on his head. Ethan had his first trip to the ER in an ambulance. I was crying and feel terrible that I could have prevented this accident. Thankfully he is OKAY, we are so blessed. We have to watch him closely for a 48 hours, but I know things could have  been worse. Lesson learned. Always strap a baby in! I had the tray locked in the tightest position but he still got out of it.

DISNEYWORLD!!!!

Disneyworld!!!!!!

This was our first official family vacation, and we all had lots of fun! The room was amazing, I had lots of fun swimming and playing with the kids while David was at a conference, and Disneyworld was of course a blast and a challenge with a baby who wanted to crawl around instead of sit in a stroller.

Highs: Ethan LOVED the fireworks and i think his favorite ride was It's a Small World. Logan's favorite ride was the Toy Story Mania -- i think this was mine too! He got to meet Jake the Pirate and Lightning McQueen.

Lows: I got food poisoning in DW, I wont be having a Chicago style hot dog probably ever again. The flights royally sucked. No more red eye flights or flights with more than 1 lay over.

Ethan is 9 months!!

-Cruising like a pro
-Stands unassisted for seconds, his balance gets better each day
-Now says "mama" A LOT :)
-Gives kisses on demand and makes a "ma" sounds when he does
-Waves his hands and claps when he is happy
-Had his first airplane ride, a red eye flight at that
-Goes down for most naps fully awake and doesn't really cry
-Chatters a lot!

Siblings share...more than I want sometimes.

Logan is now potty trained, and we are almost weaned from the little potty usage (thank goodness!) but this happened earlier this month. Ethan LOVES to push the little "flush" handle on it because it makes a Vroooom Vrooooom sound, so every time the bathroom door is open he goes straight for it.

Logan went pee in his Lightning McQueen potty, and Ethan crawled in there to try to flush it. I was on the phone, so this was totally my fault. I was just outside the bathroom sitting on a chair right outside at the computer. I didn't notice Logan tried to dump his pee in the big potty, spilling it on the floor and toilet. He got toilet paper to try and clean it. Ethan is right there in the action. I see whats happening and I pick Ethan up, wipe him down, pry the pee soaked toilet paper out of his little hands and clean the bathroom floor and all.

Once I'm done, I go into Ethan's room to change his clothes. I then notice he has something in his mouth. A huge clump of toilet paper. GAG.

I'm telling myself it wasn't soaked in pee like the clump he had in his hand. That's my story til this day...

Ethan is 8 months!

*Ethan is still all over the place, and is getting really fast, now he looks at you and smile when you say "No Ethan!" and then goes even faster.
*He has officially been charged with high treason. I've been working for months on getting Ethan to say "Mamamamama" and he says "Dadadadada". He also does other babbling but none that include the Mama sounds.
*He started eating chunky food, he doesn't want pureed food anymore. He doesn't really have a favorite, he eats anything. I'm not sure how much to feed him because he will eat until you stop feeding him. Sometimes I think he eats more than me! (I know he eats more than Logan) He also loves to eat the cat food.
*Anytime Logan is eating he tries to steal his food, and now succeeds often.
*The baby gate had to go up this month.
*Ethan is standing a little bit on his own for just a few seconds at a time. He is still cruising while holding onto furniture.
*He had his first swing ride at the park, and he loved it!
*He got his first Halloween costume, The Dark Knight, but didn't like the bat hat.
*He got his birthday bini in, it goes well with his appetite, The Hungry Caterpillar.

Ethan has been quite the little model for Mommy this month. I started making soft sole baby shoes and made most of the baby leg warmers I had socks for. David hope he wont be scarred for life since I've been putting adorable girly handmade items on him. I'm not sure who actually reads my blog anymore, but here is my store site if you wanna check anything out. www.pricelessembrace.etsy.com

Logan's Busy September...

LOGAN IS POTTY TRAINED!
My boy took his first step out of toddlerhood and into childhood. He is no longer wearing diapers! He still is at night but has been dry for this whole month every morning. It was a struggle but I learned not to push and he did it in his own time.

First Trip to the Emergency Room....
Logan fell and hit his head at Grandpa & Grandma Price's house.  He slipped on David's arm while playing on the floor with him and fell backwards and hit a 90 degree point on their wrought iron table leg. There was instantly blood EVERYWHERE. I had never seen that much blood and my reaction probably didn't help Logan much.

We took him to the ER where they gave him a CT scan, cleaned his head wound and gave him 2 staples. He was such a brave boy, and felt better once the Doctor gave him some stickers.

This Mama is going to have to toughen up, with 2 boys I'm sure this will not be my last trip to the emergency room.

There is no picture but Logan also had his first dentist appointment. He only let the Dr. Grant count his teeth, but he said his teeth look great and to keep up the good brushing!

Logan started preschool! He loved it and did very well for his first day.

7 month monster

My little baby is not so little anymore! He is so sweet and we just love him to pieces! On the 25th he turned 7 months old...how did this happen??

*This little boy is all over the place these days, literally!  He crawls EVERYWHERE, and will now follow us into whatever room we are in the house
*He is baby Kruser ;)  He is cruising along the furniture
*He is a climber, already yes, he is climbing.
*He now wakes up 2 or more times at night, due to teething, but no teeth yet. He also has been surprising Mommy and Daddy with some "middle of the night" play dates.
*He has entered the separation anxiety phase now, where all he wants is Mommy...and oh, how good it is to feel loved right?
*He sticks anything and everything is his mouth. Daddy was sleeping on the couch and was waken to someone gnawing on his toe <-----it was Ethan.
*He bounces up and down when he is excited
*He crouches to his little bum softly when he wants to get down from a standing position.
*I'm pretty sure he is doing the sign for "eat"
*We are working on the "mama" babble noises
*He turns and looks when we call him by his name
*He LOVES playing with Logan's train table
*He loves to eat, we have been trying more and more combo foods. He likes oatmeal mixes and we just started him on barely.

Logan just turned 3 this past month, so he already had a special birthday post but he is also so wonderful and is growing in leaps and bounds.  Everyday he says something hilarious and new, I need to be better at writing all his cute funny things down.  We are still working on the potty training, he is getting better but we aren't there yet. I'm trying to work with him on learning letters, the sounds they make, and numbers. He is pretty good at recognizing all the letters, and knows a number of their sounds.

Logan David turns 3!!!

It's August 11th, and the next morning will mark the day 3 years ago that I became a Mother. Logan changed my life for the better, forever.

The night before Logan's birthday each year he wakes up to a room full of balloons! Here he is asleep with his spiderman birthday banner and balloons waiting for him to wake up.
The next morning he comes to my room to wake me up, he very excitedly says, "Mama....theres BALLOONS in my room! And birthday things!!" (meaning the banner)
 Practicing holding up "3" fingers

We did Brownie Sundaes for his Birthday celebration at home on his actual birthday. We had a few of his best buddies over to join us for dessert. The following Friday we had his Spiderman Party at The Jungle, its a really fun kids place in our local mall with a Jungle to play in, art studio, dress up, karaoke, air hokey, and a bounce house.
The Food - I had lots of fun making kid friendly theme-food to go along with Spiderman, I kept it simple but all the kids seemed to enjoy it.

(yes - i did make these!)

the POP-corn was a huge hit for the kids, who doesn't love popcorn right?

The Birthday boy with his Spiderweb cake

 Caught in a web!

We had so much fun seeing Logan enjoy his birthday with all his little buddies and cousins. In 3 years Logan has grown so much, and we enjoy seeing the new things he does and says each day!
