David and I are so indecisive when it comes to making big decisions. We have been putting off choosing names for our baby since it is such a big deal. We both finally looked through some books and made a list of names we liked, and traded and crossed off the ones we didn't like of each others choices.
We still aren't going to choose his name until we see him at his birth, hoping we will get some more inspiration. We haven't even gotten into a middle name yet... but let us know what you think for a first name, vote on the poll to the right!

Labor of Love
I just have to say that mom's and step dad's are just so wonderful to have! They came out this weekend to visit, and to help us out with some yard work. My back has been killing me, and David breaks out with itchy patches when he's out in the yard during the spring season, so they came and cleared out all our weeds. Our yard looks FABULOUS!
BEFORE....
(I'm embarrassed to even post this picture since we let it get this bad!)
Here is my mom lookin' cute doin' yard work.

Gettin' bigger by the minute!
Here I am, 24 weeks pregnant (so just about 6 months along, according to "What to Expect When You're Expecting"). For me, all is well and it seems like I'm getting bigger everyday. I finally had to give in and buy some maternity clothes, my shirts and most jeans just weren't working for me to squeeze into anymore. From what I've read, this is my last month feeling energized before I enter my third trimester, so I am trying to get as much done as I can. As for the baby, he moves around A LOT, and oh man, is this little guy getting stronger everyday! You can now see my belly move when he's kicking or punching. He really moves when I eat something spicy....not sure if that means he likes it or not, but Mommy sure does enjoy! :)
We are beginning to get things ready for the nursery, we bought the crib, have started to clear out boxes (we still haven't unpacked everything since the move....) and David sanded and re-painted my old dresser to match the crib. Still to go, we have to sand and re-paint this cabinet thing that is a perfect height to use for a changing table, plus it has some handy storage for baby stuff. I think we're in good shape considering we have 3 months still to go!

Sneak Peak
We had some Maternity/Anniversary pictures taken a couple weeks ago, so here is a tiny taste of how they turned out. We should be getting a disc in the mail with the rest of the shots in a couple days. I can't wait to look at the rest!! Here is a link the photographers blog that has some more, http://michelletandyphotography.blogspot.com/, she will also be taking our newborn pictures of our son.

Our first curve ball
Well, on Friday I was officially laid off, 5 1/2 months pregnant. We were worried all weekend mostly about the medical benefit factor, since I was still under my employers plan. Not knowing if my pregnancy would be a pre-existing condition, keeping me ineligible to be added to David's insurance was extremely nerve racking for the both of us. Having a child with paying the high costs of COBRA caused a couple restless nights over the weekend. But yesterday we found out from David's HR Dept. that pregnancy is not considered as such and there should be no problem adding me to his policy.
Financially, David and I will be alright on his income, plus I will be able to collect unemployment for a while, we just have to budget a little better (but who doesn't right?!). On the more optimistic side of things, I can now rest and get everything ready for the arrival of our little son with plenty of time. Life just threw us our first unexpected curve ball since we've been married... but so far it looks as though we will be able to survive this new trial in our lives. We are thankful and blessed to know that the lord is watching over us.
